Prof. Dr. Ekrem Gjokaj is Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Projects, Innovation and Scientific Research at the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM), Kosovo. An economist, policy expert, and researcher specialising in agricultural economics, rural development, and European integration, he brings more than 25 years of executive leadership, academic excellence, and international development experience. He is recognised for bridging academia, government, and international development practice through interdisciplinary, innovation-driven, and results-oriented approaches. His work focuses on strengthening higher education, advancing agricultural and rural development policies, promoting knowledge transfer, research excellence, and international partnerships, and supporting the sustainable transformation of agricultural systems and rural economies. Widely recognised for his expertise in agricultural policy, institutional development, and EU integration, he combines strategic vision with extensive practical experience in designing and delivering impactful reforms, evidence-based policies, and international development programmes.
